Misdemeanor & Felony Indecent Exposure
Indecent exposure involves a knowing exposure of one’s genitals to the view of another person in circumstances that is likely to cause affront or alarm to that person.
Indecent exposure is a Class 1 misdemeanor, but is a Class 6 felony if committed after having been previously convicted of two similar offenses. Just one conviction of indecent exposure will require registration as a sex offender, despite its relative lack of seriousness.
